Girl Scout Troop #40731 will present about their Bronze Award project: creating a dog park here in Union! Then, we'll 'upcycle' old t-shirts into dog toys! (All materials will be provided.) Participants can choose to take home their creations for their own dog(s) or leave them with us to be donated to a local animal shelter. A Vision Board is a collage representing things you would like to manifest in your life. Certified Life Coach, Beverly Braxton-Cannon will help you identify specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic (SMART) short-term and long-term goals to help you re-define your future. You will gather pictures from magazines and place them on your board to visually represent your goals for the remainder of the year. All materials (except scissors and glue) will be available for pickup at the Vauxhall Branch on a first come first serve basis with limited kits available. Becoming a UPL volunteer is a fantastic way to develop problem solving, leadership, and time management skills, while gaining valuable experience to add to your college applications and/or resume! In this orientation, teen volunteers will learn how they can earn service hours this summer, plus we'll be making candy sushi!
