On Christmas night 1776, Washington crossed the Delaware to attack a Hessian brigade at Trenton, taking the German auxiliaries by complete surprise. Only three days later, he struck again, slipping away from the British at Trenton, and attacking the Redcoats at Princeton. Author Jim Stempel reports on one of the most violent, courageous, yet virtually forgotten periods of the Revolutionary War. Presented with the Union Township Historical Society.
The event takes place at Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, 888 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union.
