
Hairitage Workshop: The History of Cornrows

FreeIn this workshop, participants will learn about the history of natural hair, explore one’s creativity, and build self-confidence, culminating in a cornrow design art project using corn kernels, shells, and beads. Presented by Judith Guest from the Union County Office of Community Engagement and Diversity.
This program takes place at the Vauxhall Branch Library and is intended for ages 7 -11. All backgrounds and genders welcome. Please register in advance so we can contact you in case of cancellation. Registration opens two weeks prior to the event. Limited to 20 participants.
