To enhance convenience and accessibility for our patrons, the Union Public Library offers a drive-up window service located at 1980 Morris Avenue. This service is subject to the following guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operations:
Eligibility
- Drive-up service is available to all patrons with a valid Union Public Library card.
- Patrons must have no blocks on their account that would prevent checkouts (e.g., lost items or expired cards).
Available Services
- Pick up of items placed on hold in advance.
- Return of library materials.
Note: The following services are not available at the drive-up window:
- Issuing new library cards
- Browsing or reference services
- Computer printouts or fax/copy services
Hours of Operation
The drive-up window is open during the following times:
- Monday–Friday: 12pm – 4pm
- Saturday: 12pm – 3pm (excluding Summer Saturdays)

Usage Guidelines
- Patrons must be in an automobile; pedestrians and bicyclists are asked to use indoor services.
- Please have your physical library card ready.
- Limit conversations to brief transactions to keep the line moving.
- Keep engines idling to a minimum and observe all posted signs.
Safety Notice
For everyone’s safety, please remain in your vehicle and follow staff instructions. The library is not responsible for damage or theft of items after they are handed out through the drive-up window.
