Register for UPL’s 2022 Summer Reading Program, Oceans of Possibilities, starting Monday, June 20 on READsquared! The SRP is open to everyone ages 5 and up.* Please visit either UPL location if you prefer to sign up in person and/or need technical assistance using the READsquared app or website. Everyone who registers for the SRP will receive a welcome gift, while supplies last.
Our Summer Kickoff takes place at Rabkin Park on Thursday, June 23 from 2pm-4pm, located at 1 Swanstrom Place East in Union! Enjoy a variety of carnival-style activities as we celebrate the beginning of this year’s Summer Reading Program! The raindate is Friday, June 24 from 2pm-4pm.
How to Participate
Log your reading progress weekly through READsquared starting Monday, June 27 in order to qualify for weekly raffle prizes and the grand prize. You must read for a minimum of 60 minutes per week to qualify for weekly raffles. There will be a random drawing at the end of each week to determine the winner(s).
Weekly Raffle Prizes
Have a chance to win weekly raffle prizes by logging your hours each week. Prizes include a variety of gift cards, activity kits, and more!
Grand Prizes
Once you reach nine hours of reading, you’ll be entered into our grand prize raffle at the end of the summer.
- Grand Prize for children entering kindergarten-2nd grade: 5 admission passes to Jenkinson’s Aquarium and a Paint by Sticker book
- Grand Prize for children entering 3rd-6th grade: 5 admission passes to Jenkinson’s Aquarium and sticker-by-number book
- Grand Prize for teens entering 7th-12th grade: A one-year subscription to the streaming service of your choice
- Grand Prize for adults: Chromebook laptop
- Bonus Raffle Prize: Nintendo Switch Console
*NOTE: If you have a child under 5, we encourage you to sign them up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten on READsquared.
